Congratulations to all competitors on a very challenghing 2022 Series of Races
The Irish Sea Offshore Racing Association (ISORA) learnt with great sadness of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II earlier today and pass our sincere condolences to the Royal Family.
The Organising Authority have received requests for guidance from competitors on the status of the concluding race of the ISORA 2022 Series, the James Eadie Race scheduled for Saturday 10th September.
The OA had to take into consideration that competitors will travel from great distances to take part in this race and delivery times for competing yachts can be more than 15 hours.
It is not possible to set another date for this race so a postponement would necessitate a cancellation of the race.
The Organising Authority have listened to guidance and advice and have decided that it is in the best interest of the sport for the scheduled race from Pwllheli to Dun Laoghaire to continue.
As a mark of respect, competitors will fly a black flag above the class flag on the backstay.
The ISORA crews had a fast and furious 35 mile Coastal Race on Satuday 3rd September.
Eight boats competed on the staggered start race from the Pwllheli Start line, around St Tudwal's Islands and then around Gwylan Islands and back to the Plas Heli Finish line.

The Plas Heli Welsh Coastal Series was won by Mojito with the best scores over the four race series.

The Final Race of the 2022 Musto ISORA series is the James Eadie Race from Pwllheli to Dun Laoghaire on Saturday 10th September.
The results of the race will determine the 2022 Overall Champion for the prestigious Wolf’s Head Trophy.
Andrew Hall’s Jackknife is in pole position after the first 14 races with her best scores amounting to 510.9. She is closely followed by Robert Rendell’s Samatom with 501.4 and Mojito with 489.4 then 2021 Champion Rockabill VI with 482.1.
Class Results on Saturday will also be concluded on Saturday night for Class 0, Class 1 and Class 2.

Samaton won the coastal race and now leads the Viking Marine Coastal Series with one race to go - a higher scoring night race. With YoYo Rockabill in the hunt!

Congratulations to team Mojito for a superb overall win on the K2Q 260 race, and also to all competitors on a real offshore challenge, with a special mention for two handed Mark and Phil on Jac Y Do for their perseverance.
The overall series and class results are now published, and the overall lead retained by Mojito followed closely by Samaton, Jackknife and Rockabill VI
The next race is the Dun Laoghaire - South Arklow - Pwllheli Race on 30th July - this is a 1.2 scored race and will be targeted by competitors looking for an overall and class podium placing!

The ISORA UK Skippers presented ISORA Chairman, Peter Ryan with an ISORA Jacket.
The presentation at the National Yacht Club on Friday night 10th June, and on the eve of Race No.7, is to recognise their appreciation for Peter's hard work and dedication to Offshore Racing in the Irish Sea.

The major change from last year is the ability to submit the C1331 form via excel spreadsheet and email - please see the link below to the website with both the paper form and excel link.
Please also phone the 'yacht line' number 0300 123 2012 on arrival back into the UK. This is in addition to the C1331 part 2

2025 Class bands are anticipated as follows:
Class 0 = 1.070 or greater
Class 1 = 1.010 to 1.069
Class 2 = 1.009 or less
2025 bands will be published before the first Race.
