About ISORA - Racing

ISORA provides offshore racing in the Irish Sea and two separate Coastal Series - in Ireland and UK

The race start is at 0800hrs and the Course is as follows:

Start - as defined in the SI's

Finish - as defined in the SI's


After racing please use the events pontoons as described in the SI's and there will be a warm welcome for all in the post race gathering at Pwllheli Sailing Club


Mini bus / bus transport will be arranged for crew to travel to Holyhead on Sunday, after the race, to get to the ferry.

Competitors who wish to take advantage of either transports should reply to this e-newsletter.


This race is also a feeder race to the Spinlock IRC Welsh National Championship which starts on Friday 11th August through to Sunday 13th August. Again, transport will be arranged for the return trip to Pwllheli on Thursday 10th August.

Amendment 18th April 2024

A race will be added to the Welsh Coastal Series as Race 17 CW5 - this will be run on 15th June - best three races out of 5 to count in the series.


2024 Class bands are anticipated as follows:

Class 0 = 1.070 or greater
Class 1 = 1.010 to 1.069
Class 2 = 1.009 or less

2024 bands will be published before the first Race.
