The Association is run by volunteers for the benefit of competitors by working in partnership with boat owners, crew, yacht and sailing clubs, other associations and the governing bodies for boating in Ireland, Wales and the UK.

Race 5 CI3 - Sunday 21st April 2024 (CI = Coastal Ireland)
This race is the 5th Race in the Musto ISORA 2024 series and also the 3rd race of the ISORA “Viking Marine Coastal Series” So many races within the same race!

Course – 24 miles approx.
Shortening of course likely to keep race duration at 4 hours. Those with trackers from last race please activate at 09.30. Those without, please collect from Marina podium at 9.30 Sunday morning.

This race is the 6th Race in the Musto ISORA 2024 series and the 3rd race of the ISORA “Plas Heli Coastal Series” So many races within the same race!

As the wind forecast is variable please note the following gates along the course which may be used to shorten the course.
Gates for shortening.
Cilan Gate: 52 46.700n 004 31.800w - 52 45.700n 004 31.800w This is line extending aprox 1nm south of Trwyn Cilan.
Gwylan Gate: 52 48.000n 004 41.600w - 52 47.300n 004 41.600w This is a line extending north from Gwylan Fawr
Shortening Course Protocol:
Cilan Gate going Out: If the first boat does not cross the Cilan Gate going west before 12:00 the finish line will be that gate.
Gwylan Gate: If the first boat does not cross the Gwylan Gate going west before 11:30 the finish line will be that gate.
Cilan Gate on return leg: If the first boat does not cross the Cilan Gate going east before 12:00 the finish line will be that gate.
