The Association is run by volunteers for the benefit of competitors by working in partnership with boat owners, crew, yacht and sailing clubs, other associations and the governing bodies for boating in Ireland, Wales and the UK.

Offshore RacingCoastal RacesDue to the total lack of winds forecast in the Irish Sea around Dublin and the strong tides, tonight’s Night Race from Dun Laoghaire has been postponed until 20.00 on Friday 19th August.
The decision was taken by the Sailing Committee after referring to the Skippers of all entered boats.
For those boats who have entered the race and who cannot take on the rescheduled race, their entry fee can be transferred to any of the remaining races in the ISORA Series 2016.
The course has been set as defined in the SI's below
The start is on Friday night 19th August at 2000hrs (this amends the SI's published time on 22nd July2016

4th and final race in the ISORA - Viking Marine - Royal Alfred Yacht Club Coastal Series
40 miles. Weight 0.9. Start - 1000hrs
The course will be:
For the race period I see no more than 6-8knots in some forecasts and nothing in my usual source!!!
On this basis we will go with the course as previously advised:
Start in Dun Laoghaire
South Burford (S)
West Codling (S)
Breaches Shoal (S)
Finish in Greystones crossing in a northerly direction.
23 miles
Trackers to be picked up from me at the marina forecourt at 08.45 tomorrow morning or by special arrangements with me for boats not pulling into dun laoghaire before the race.

Please Note: The course will be shortened at Pwllheli Fairway if the first boat is at that mark later than 1500hrs.

A BBQ has been arranged in Pwllheli Sailing Club for Saturday evening - so should be a great opportunity to share experiences, discuss tactics and decide who saw the most dolphins!
