It is with saddness that we mark the passing of Liam Shanahan Snr.
ISORA Chairman, Peter Ryan, said 'Liam was one of the pioneers of offshore racing in Ireland, racing in ISORA on “Emircedes” and “Lightning”. Liam strongly promoted the sport. Many of those racing today, including myself, got involved in offshore racing after been “press ganged” by Liam, onto his boat.
The tradition of Shanahan involvement in offshore racing is continued with his son, Liam Jnr and his grandsons and granddaughters.'
